Masonry
Masonry works as a subcontracted package
Load-bearing and non-load-bearing walls, infill walls, facing brickwork: masonry as a separate package in the structural works, with our own foreman, for construction companies, main contractors and developers. Whether the package is possible for your project, with which bricklaying crew and when, is settled only by the written offer.
Our focus includes Luxembourg, southern Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Norway.
The problem we solve
Walls and floors sit in the same structural package, but you want to let the masonry separately without leaving a gap at the ring beams and floor bearings.
Why contact us
- One contact and our own foreman
- The foreman organises the work on site and coordinates it with your site manager.
- A clear written offer
- Scope, team, programme, price and responsibilities are written down before work starts.
- We assess document requirements up front
- Before the project starts, we assess the applicable document and posting requirements according to the country, the project and the workers' status.
- Flexible capacity
- Our own workers, partner crews under contract and specialists selected for the order.
A bricklaying crew with a foreman: masonry as a package
- 01
A crew under a contract for work
The crew works under our foreman on a defined masonry section, measured and accepted per floor or phase.
- 02
Wall types
External and internal walls, load-bearing or not, in calcium silicate, clay brick, aerated concrete or concrete block; your drawing gives the thickness and unit.
- 03
What we need for an offer
Working drawings, quantities per wall type in square or cubic metres, a unit list, openings and lintels, the sequence and the location.
- 04
Interface with concrete
It is settled who makes ring beams, lintels and formwork. Reinforcement and concreting are a package of their own that you can request alongside.
- 05
Crane and scaffold
Crane, scaffold, mortar silo and block logistics: who provides what and when the working scaffold is moved is fixed before the start.
- 06
Facing brick, cladding and facade work
Bricklayers for facing brick and brick cladding: bond, joints, support angles and cavity to the drawings and a sample panel. Facade work is included only where it is named; the offer confirms this trade too.
Who it is for
- Construction companies that take the masonry out of the structural package
- Main contractors with a masonry share in housing and commercial buildings
- Developers that let the structural works in packages
- Project and procurement managers with masonry or facing brick items in the bill of quantities
How the team is formed
- Foreman and bricklayers
- The foreman leads the bricklaying crew, watches the interfaces with the concrete works and presents sections for acceptance.
- Where the crew comes from
- The offer states whether our own workers, a partner crew under contract or specialists selected for the order will lay the walls.
- Composition by wall type
- Masonry quantities, unit format and crane capacity give the composition; facing brick areas are looked at separately.
Cooperation models
Subcontract – a work package
We carry out the agreed scope with our own foreman and are responsible for our part under the contract. You set the scope and accept the completed work.
A crew for a project phase
A team led by our foreman carries out an agreed phase; responsibilities are set out in the contract.
Direct hire
We select specialists whom you employ in your own company.
Legal model by country
In Germany, Austria and the Netherlands we carry out masonry solely as a work (Werkvertrag, aanneming van werk), not by providing bricklayers as workers. In Germany the bricklaying and concrete craft is no. 1 in Annex A of the Handwerksordnung and is a licensed craft. A foreign company first notifies the competent chamber of crafts of the activity; work can begin after that if the legal conditions are met. Requirements in other countries are confirmed for each project.
The specific requirements depend on the type of work, the contract model and the workers' status, so we confirm them separately for each project. This information is not legal advice and does not imply automatic approval or eligibility.
Where we take enquiries
Priority markets and the regions where we actively look for projects. We also take enquiries from other European countries – the model and the documents are confirmed for each project.

How cooperation works
- 01
Enquiry
Type of work, location, trades, approximate numbers and timing – as much as you know. An e-mail address is enough.
- 02
Assessment and offer
We check feasibility and the legal model and prepare an individual written offer.
- 03
Contract and documents
We agree scope, responsibilities and accommodation. Before the project starts, we assess the applicable document and posting requirements according to the country, the project and the workers' status.
- 04
Mobilisation and work
The team arrives according to the agreed plan, and you have one contact person for the whole project.
Experience and evidence
We publish no project descriptions for masonry, facing brick, brick cladding or facade work. The projects page shows our own photographs of reinforcement and concreting, not masonry. If members of the proposed team have done similar work, we name it with the offer.

Become a subcontracting partner →Frequently asked questions
01How is masonry paid for: by quantities or by the hour?
By the agreed result, for example square or cubic metres per wall type, not by the hour. The contract sets how openings and lintels are measured.
02Who provides the crane, scaffold and materials?
Usually the structural package and the site logistics decide this. The offer names one responsible party each for crane, scaffold, units and mortar.
03Can you take on masonry and concrete works together?
You can request both. Reinforcement, formwork and concreting have their own page; whether both packages run together on your project is written in the offer.
04Do you also carry out facing brick work?
You can request facing brick and cladding work. We publish no project descriptions for it, so the offer names who will work and what those people have done. Send a sample panel or your requirements for bond and joints.
05Does bricklaying need a licence in Germany?
Yes. The bricklaying and concrete craft is no. 1 in Annex A of the Handwerksordnung, so a foreign company's notification to the chamber comes before its first job.
06Who is our contact on site, and in which language?
The contact is the foreman. The offer names that person and the language of communication, so that this is clear before the contract.
07How do I send drawings or a BOQ?
Paste a link to the files in the form (Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer or similar), or email them after you submit, quoting your request number.
